Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz has expanded upon her popular series “WOMEN” (1999) with a new exhibition WOMEN: New Portraits. This new exhibit, commissioned by USB, reflects the changing role of the woman in our contemporary age.
A historic army training facility in San Francisco’s Presidio provides the cavernous setting for Leibovitz’s first stop on her global tour. The old military base appropriately sets the tone for Leibovitz’s powerful images featuring highly achieving women in their ordinary everyday surroundings.
INSIDER TIP After visiting the exhibit, hop across the street to Crissy Field, which has one of the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge in the city.
